Girl, Woman, Other Book Cover Design
I created this book cover design in response to the character's ethnic backgrounds featured in the novel. I created woven batik-inspired fabric strips. The woven style represents the intertwining of each character's story. Each pattern originates from a different country represented in the book e.g. Congo, Caribbean, Nigeria etc. I also created the hand-rendered type to complement the textures in the fabric.
